Within a few months of the world premiere of Tornkid in Baltimore, BAPAC collaborated with Tornkid playwright and NYC resident, Katelynn Kenney, in producing Tornkid for LadyFest, a summer festival organized by The Tank, a home for emerging artists. The New York workshop production of Tornkid featured members of the original cast along with a few new ensemble members. This production was performed by an all female, non-binary AAPI cast and crew.
LadyFest features new work by some of the most exciting lady or gender non-confirming artists in New York—in celebration of womxnhood and the female voice, in all its glory. All five performances were held at The Tank from August 8-11, 2019.
